We took a quick trip to Mt. Tamalpais. The views were amazing. The kids loved walking around and exploring. We came upon a very large outdoor theater made of stone. I would love to watch a production there one day.

Sidney's Words of Advice
Yesterday I went and got blonder highlights in my hair. Today I asked Sidney, "Sidney, how do you like my hair?" Her reply was this. "You need to be you. It doesn't matter what your hair looks like. It just matters who you are inside. You don't need to be pretty or anything, because you look nice the way you are. You just need to be you." I guess we all can learn from Sid's words of advice.

Isom & Hudson Kids With Santa
During our trip to Las Vegas we decided to visit the Neiman Marcus department store. The Santa at Neiman Marcus was so great that instead of making us stand in line, he sought us out and told us to come and get pictures with him. When has that ever happened?

Dog Mushing
My Uncle Jonathan and cousin Val took us on a dog mushing adventure. In order to get the dogs to go you yell "hike", stop is "woah", "gee" is right, "haw" is left.
Ice Fishing in Alaska
When we visit my family for Christmas in Alaska we often go ice fishing. Last time we didn't get very many fish. This year was great. We caught 22 fish and took turns taking hot chocolate breaks in the warm car. Maren caught the largest fish, Wells was the best fishing hole scooper. Sidney caught her fair share while Dean stayed in the car almost the entire time.Monday, January 12, 2009
