My Uncle Jonathan and cousin Val took us on a dog mushing adventure. In order to get the dogs to go you yell "hike", stop is "woah", "gee" is right, "haw" is left.
What an awesome adventure you guys had. Ice fishing and dog mushing?! Sounds like there is a lot of fun to be had during AK winters if you are willing to brave the super cold.

I haven't been dog mushing since the team I was racing ran into the camera man when I was 4 years old...looks like so much fun! I love that your kids get to grow up with such fun heritage. Mine just get to hear stories about my hair freezing on the way to the school bus stop. Thanks for being so great!
Tonya, you have a great camera...love..love...love the pics of Maren and Sid with their cute Parka (sp?. BTW, I love having Sid in my class; she is such a smart kid.
